Why did you decide to become a physician?

In 5th grade, when we studied systems of the body, I decided I wanted to be a physician.

What are your clinical areas of interest?

My area of interest is in general pediatrics – birth to adulthood.

What is your philosophy of patient care?

My philosophy of care is to listen, to care and to give quality medical care to my patients.

How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)

I have two children ages 13 and five years old. Free time involves taking them to the pool, basketball, swim lessons, baseball and church activities.

Provide an interesting anecdote about you.

When I was in the 5th grade, I was riding in a car with two other friends, when my friend's mom asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I responded that I wanted to be a doctor. She asked her daughter also and she responded a lawyer. Another friend in the car responded a teacher. We all became what we wanted to be: a doctor, a lawyer and a teacher!!
