Why did you decide to become a physician?

Both my parents are in the medical field. My mother is a microbiologist, and my father is a dentist.

What are your clinical areas of interest?

I am particularly interested in the areas of antibiotic resistance, travel medicine and infection prevention.

What is your philosophy of patient care?

I believe in treating patients with compassion, as a member of my own family. I strongly believe in evidence-based medicine - treatment based on supportive scientific evidence.

How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)

I enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, visual and performing arts.

I am from Bratslaua, in the Slovak Republic in Europe.
