I’ve always been attracted to science and medical things always fascinated me. My focus in women’s health crystallized when I was in my ob-gyn rotation in nursing school, and 20 years later led to me becoming a WHCNP.
What are your clinical areas of interest?
The care of women is my passion, from the teen years through the childbearing years and on to perimenpause and the menopausal years.
What is your philosophy of patient care?
I believe patient care should be focused not only on treating specific problems, but also educating for prevention of health issues. I believe the more informed the patient the better we can work together to achieve the best health.
How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)
I enjoy traveling, riding ATVs on the trails of Colorado, Idaho and Utah and spending time with my family.
Provide an interesting anecdote about you.
My daughter recently married a Canadian and they are living in Toronto, Ontario. I’m learning about the Canadian Health System on a personal basis and although our system isn’t perfect it’s much better than it could be!
