As a psychotherapist I had an interest in understanding how individuals' orientation to the world impacted their relationships, view of themselves and choices.
What are your clinical areas of interest?
My clinical areas of interest include mental health, mood disorders, changes accompanying pregnancy and postpartum in areas of mood, adjustment and relationships.
What is your philosophy of patient care?
I want to help my patients live their values and reach their goals in a satisfying and meaningful way.
How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)
I spend my free time with my family. I also enjoy reading and I am involved in leadership in my church.
Provide an interesting anecdote about you.
I recently returned from a mission trip to Nicaragua. This trip met my goals/values of helping individuals in a different way than through my counseling profession. I was moved by the evidence of extreme poverty, but also the resilience, strength in spirit and pride of the Nicaraguan people.
